Summer Solstice Celebrating the Sun
and Radiating Our Creative Fire

At the Summer Solstice the light lingers a little longer in the woods. The trees around Good Heart Studio hold the warmth of the afternoon sun, the birds settle into their evening rhythm, and the forest begins to glow in that soft golden light that only happens in early summer.
It is a beautiful moment in the turning of the year to slow down, gather together, and enjoy the fullness of the season.
Our Solstice gathering is a relaxed afternoon and evening spent in meditation, creativity, good food, and time together in the peaceful beauty of the forest.
Meditation and Sound Bath
2:00 pm to 3:30 pm
We begin the afternoon with a guided meditation and vibrational sound bath. This allows the nervous system to soften, the mind to quiet, and the body to settle into a deeper sense of ease. Many people find this part of the gathering deeply restorative and a wonderful way to arrive fully into the present moment.
Creative Time, Appetizers, and Lemonade
After meditation we will move into a relaxed creative time together. Light appetizers and lemonade will be available as we gather around the table to create crystal light catchers.
These simple hanging pieces are designed to catch the sunlight and scatter small rainbows through your home. As the crystals turn in the light they create little flashes of color that dance across the room. They are beautiful, playful to make, and a lovely reminder of the bright, generous energy of the Solstice season.
There will also be time to stretch your legs, wander the forest paths, sit quietly on the deck, journal, or simply enjoy conversation.
Seasonal Dinner
Later in the evening we will share a homemade seasonal dinner together and enjoy the easy, unhurried feeling that comes from a meal shared in good company.
Fire Circle at Sunset
Around 7:30 pm
As the day begins to soften into evening we will close the gathering with a fire circle around sunset. This is a simple time to relax outdoors, enjoy the warmth of the fire, and watch the longest day of the year slowly give way to night.
Guests are welcome to stay for the fire circle or head home afterward depending on their evening plans.
If the idea of spending a Summer Solstice afternoon in meditation, creativity, good food, and time in the woods speaks to you, we would love to welcome you to Good Heart Studio. Our gatherings are intentionally small and limited to 12 participants so there is plenty of space to breathe, unwind, and enjoy the quiet beauty of the Hollow.
Because the group is small, reserving your space early is recommended.

Seasonal Gatherings at Good Heart Studio
This Summer Solstice gathering is part of a small series of seasonal retreats held throughout the year at Good Heart Studio. Each gathering celebrates a turning point in the natural cycle of the seasons and offers time for meditation, creativity, good food, and connection in the woods.
You are welcome to join one gathering or enjoy several as the year unfolds.

Each one carries its own unique atmosphere while sharing the same relaxed spirit of time together in the Hollow.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: If I am unable to attend can I get a refund?
A: This is always a hard one for me. Because we have very limited space I will offer to refund you if someone on the waiting list can take your space. A lot of time and effort goes into creating a beautiful experience for a small group.
Q: Can I bring a friend or friends?
A: Yes! Please reserve your spaces ahead of time to make sure, as we only have space for 14 meditators. Friends are welcome to join us afterward to explore the hollow and or hang out!
Q: Do I need to bring anything with me?
A: If you have a special pillow to make laying on the floor more comfortable please bring it. We have blankets, bolsters, pillows, and eye covers. A journal is also useful to write down any wisdom that may come forward from meditation.
Q: I can't lie down on the floor comfortably. Can I still join?
A: Yes, we have a couch and a lounge chair for you to enjoy and we will reserve that space for you - just let us know. You do need to be able to get down a flight of stairs.
Q: I have allergies...
A: We have two cats- they will remain upstairs. We are also in the middle of the forest. We run air filters and essential oil diffusers to keep the air as clean as possible. Please let us know if you have food allergies so that we can accommodate you.
